Enter your figures above. The target updates automatically.
If you enter a figure here, the calculator will use it instead.
2. Your savings & investments
Add pensions, ISAs, cash savings or other investments. Each one can have its own contributions and return assumption.
3. Extra income in retirement
4. State Pension
5. When can you afford to retire?
You don't choose a retirement age here. The calculator tests the ages automatically and identifies the earliest age at which your target is modelled as sustainable through age 97.
How the model works
• Your retirement target is automatically calculated as current annual income minus monthly expenses expected to disappear × 12, unless you enter an override.
• Each savings/investment account has its own balance, contribution, annual contribution increase and assumed real return.
• LGPS and State Pension are optional income streams beginning at 68.
• The tool tests retirement ages automatically and shows the earliest age that passes the model through age 97.
• Return scenarios are illustrations, not predictions or guarantees. Actual investment returns fluctuate and sequence risk matters.
• This is a planning calculator, not regulated financial advice.
